Our team consists of experienced theatre educators and practitioners who work with a psychosomatic approach to drama, have long-standing experience with Dialogical Acting with the Inner Partner, and are engaged in authorial creation. We also develop our own lecturers from among our young students who have gone through our approach and wish to pass it on to the next generation. <\/p>\n\n\n

\n\nErika Merjav\u00e1\n<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Founder, Director & Educator<\/p>\n

Erika is the founder of TALENT Drama Studio and its lead educator. She also leads workshops for teachers, psychologists, and artists. She graduated in Creative Pedagogy from the Department of Authorial Creativity and Pedagogy at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) in 2014. She also studied drama therapy at Akademie Alternativa in Olomouc.\n\nShe has been involved in theatre since 2001 \u2013 initially as a stage actress, chanson singer, and lyricist, and later primarily as an author and director of original productions, in which she connects different genres, age groups, and both professional and amateur performers. She has initiated a number of intimate formats, including cabarets, artistic gatherings, and evenings combining music, text, and improvisation.\n\nIn 2009, she founded the children\u2019s studio D\u011btsk\u00fd talent, which evolved in 2016 into the current form of the non-profit organization TALENT Drama Studio. She is also a graduate of the University of Economics in Prague, where she later worked as an economics journalist (MF Dnes, Lidov\u00e9 noviny, Strategie, Transgas).<\/p>\n

In her theatre pedagogy, she is primarily interested in experimentation and play. The phenomenon of play can bring a person back to their own existence, communication, dialogue, and partnership. It opens up joy, humour, and lightness, free from performance pressure. Anything that deviates is \u201ctaken into play.\u201d This approach of Prof. Ivan Vysko\u010dil and his Dialogical Acting is further developed by Erika in her theatre work with both children and educators.<\/p>\n

Director and Educator<\/p>\n

Ji\u0159\u00ed is a theatre director, dramaturg, screenwriter, educator, and dramatherapist. He graduated in directing of alternative and puppet theatre. He has been collaborating with TALENT Drama Studio since 2013. He focuses on authorial creation and theatre.\n\nAs a director, dramaturg, or artistic director, he has collaborated with or worked at institutions such as A Studio Rub\u00edn, Divadlo Rozmanitosti in Most, Divadlo D21 in Prague, South Bohemian Theatre in \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice, Divadlo Drak and Klicperovo Theatre in Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9, Lampion Theatre in Kladno, Hor\u00e1ck\u00e9 Theatre in Jihlava, Silesian Theatre in Opava, Teatr Novogo Fronta and Kolonie z. s., Divadlo Let\u00ed, Divadlo Minor, as well as theatre schools including the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (V\u0160MU), PWST Wroc\u0142aw, and others across the Czech Republic.\n\nHe also teaches at a higher vocational acting school. His main interest lies in theatrical improvisation as a means of exploring communication, perception of others, respect, and tolerance.<\/p>\n
